Basic Boxing Combinations

• 1- Jab
• 2- Straight Right
• 3- Left Hook

1. 1-1
• 1-1 is two jabs, a 1-1-1 is three jabs. It is very important that you recover completely after each jab. Jabs deliver correctly are very effectively. The jab snaps your opponent’s head back setting up an expose chin.
2. 1-2
• 1-2 is a jab/straight right, the jab closes the distance and sets up the straight right. It is very important that you recover completely after each punch. You should feel firm on your feet, never off balance. If that’s not the case, you are either reaching for the opponent or not recovering completely from your punches.

3. 1-2-3
• 1-2-3 is a jab/straight right/left hook. The jab closes the distance and sets up the straight right. This creates a weight transfer to the left side, allowing you to throw the left hook. It is very important that you recover completely after each punch.
